The heart of Cognity Tab 5 is a processor with 4 cores (Quad-core) Cortex-A7 with 1GB RAM.
The reader features a 5.76" screen with a built-in touchscreen and backlight. It impresses with its practicality thanks to additional page-turning buttons , easy touch operation, lightweight design, and versatility.
The Cognita Tab 5 reader is available in two colors: gray and white and black and gray.
The 16GB internal memory will hold a whole lot of books - forget about weighing down your suitcases with them.
If you need more space, the Cognita Tab 5 also has a microSD card reader that supports cards up to 64GB .
The 3.5mm headphone output is the perfect partner if you want to listen to audiobooks or music .

Screen
The Cognita Tab 5 is equipped with a 5.76" monochrome e-paper screen , which imitates the effect of traditional paper printing. The screen has a resolution of 920x680 pixels and high contrast at 198 ppi , ensuring comfortable reading without eye strain. The text is clear and easy to read.
Cognita Tab 5 is ideal for reading text, but it is less suitable for displaying photos and graphics because it displays 4 shades of gray.

File transfer

Book formats
Cognita Tab 5 supports most available e-book formats such as: PDF (Reflow), epub, MOBI (mobipocket), FB2, FB2.ZIP, AZW , AZW3, CHM, PRC , DOC, DOCX, TXT , HTM, HTML, RTF .
Additionally, it displays graphic files in the following formats: JPG, BMP, PNG and audio files: mp3 , OGG , FLAC, WAV , AAC , M4A .
PDF Reflow
The Cognita Tab 5 supports the very useful Reflow feature for PDF files. Reflow, also known as "spreading," breaks down the content of a PDF file so that it reads as text, just like in an epub or fb2 file. The text automatically adjusts to the page size, making reading pleasant and comfortable. Text can also be enlarged, which is impossible when reading the original PDF file.
TTS – Text to Speech
TTS – "text to speech" – is a speech synthesizer, or a function that converts written text into audio. With this feature, the Cognita Tab 5 lets you turn a book you're reading into an audiobook.
This feature is especially useful for people who enjoy listening to audiobooks, want to deepen their knowledge, language skills, or want to multitask while enjoying their books.
Cognita Tab 5 supports text-to-speech in 10 languages: Polish, English, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
Dictionary/Translator
The Cognita Tab 5 has built-in dictionary features (stardict format) and a multi-language translator. The translator supports single-word translation as well as entire paragraphs or pages.
The device also allows you to look up a word in Wikipedia.
Thanks to the built-in Glossary, we can always go back to our translations to check them again.
Library of books
Cognita Tab5 allows you to display your library as tiles with book covers or a list of files, both in internal memory and on a memory card if it has been inserted in the reader.
In addition to the name of the book/file, we can view the file format (list) and the % of the book read.
You can view your library by category: All books, Recently read, Recently added, Read, and Unread.
Additionally, you can sort your library, perform batch actions, create a new folder, search for a book, or refresh your library directly from the home screen.
Functions while reading
Cognita Tab 5 has an extensive list of available functions and settings for reading books, just like in advanced e-readers on the market.
Features available include:
Dictionary, Translator, Wikipedia, Glossary, TTS, Refresh mode, Reading time reminder, Progress format.
The following settings are available:

Note: Cognita Tab 5 will adjust available features depending on the book format. Not every feature is available for every file format.
Footnotes
The Cognita Tab 5 conveniently supports footnotes. If a book has footnotes, you can jump to the footnote text with a single tap.
Battery life
The Bemi Cognita Tab 5 has a built-in 1700mAh battery. When fully charged, the device can operate for up to 2 weeks*.
*Under the following conditions: half an hour of reading per day, 30 seconds average page turn time, backlight set to the lowest level, Wi-Fi turned off, sleep time and auto-off time set to the shortest.
